Re: Sires de celes
Not much is know about these coins. They came from Spain and feature a Templar Spanish Cross and looks to be from the 11th or 12th century. I have no idea what "Sires de Celes" means but Sires could be talking about a Latin word meaning an elder or senior, de in Spanish means of, and celes could be short for 'celestail' meaning heavenly. This means "Sires de Celes" could mean "Elders of the Heavens" but I am not sure. If it means "Elders of the Heavans" this could mean that the coin actually tied in with the Templars and meant something to them. The coin is very interesting but the value tends to be about $50 as they are not incredibly scarce.
