Re: Society for promoting Christian knowledge 1698

History:

The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge was founded in 1698 by Thomas Bay and a few of his friends. This bible could have been written in the  late 1600s or 1700s. The society was founded to promote and encourage Vhristian Education and the religion itself. The society still exists today. I can't make out the names from the pictures, if you can make out the names, I'd be glad to help with that.

Market and Value:

The market for books produced by The Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge is not very strong. This book may appeal to collectors that collect Christian items, antique books, and antique bibles. Antique bibles are popular and though you list your item as "poor" the item is actually in decent shape for it's age. I'd appraise this item at $600. That value will increase if you take good care of it as time passes.

If I was any help, I'd appreciate an accepted comment! Thanks!

Thank you soo much! You are the best. You even provided some background history.

I will try to find a rare book store; they will take better care than I can.
