I don't have much history information on this item; it was owned but my husband's grandparents and was left to him when they both passed away within this last year.

I did a little research on the web and I believe that it's possible for this item to either be silver plated or sterling silver but I'm really not sure which one this is.
Distinguishing marks
The pitcher has a trademark stamp on the bottom that reads: 1883 F.B. Rogers Silver Company
Gosh I don't know what it's worth, but I got lucky and bought one just like it for 75 cents at an auction a few years ago. I would love to know the value as well! I love silver, but most people don't want to bother cleaning it and have become very causual when entertaining. There are a few of us out there though who do appreciate these things, so I sure hope the very best for you. Someone is sure to want it.
