WWII German Navy (Kriegsmarine) Helmet

Profile picture for user glostyle
By glostyle, 18 September, 2013
Description

This helmet was brought over by a U.S. soldier in 1945. I don't know anything more about it's history.

The leather straps on both sides have both been worn away, the inside webbing is still intact.

Re: WWII German Navy (Kriegsmarine) Helmet

Nice helmet, and in good condition. Most like this rarely sell for less than $850.00, many over $1000.00, but you'd need to have it physically appraised.

Re: WWII German Navy (Kriegsmarine) Helmet

Lovejoy,

I had contacted the seller and my thoughts turned out to be correct. It is not a kriegsmarine helmet. It is a heer helmet, and the value is obviously not of the same level as a kriegsmarine. Just posting this incase anyone has a similar helmet in the future. Feel free to contact me if you do have a similar helmet or any military helmet for that matter, and I'll try to help figure out exactly what you have.
