Description
Found this in my local thrift store. It is about 3" tall. It has a marble base but it looks like someone screwed the figurine into the base (See last picture). The only name on it is ITALY, which is on the back bottom. Looks handpanted. Very detailed. In fantastic condition. Looks like a French soldier figurine, but not sure.

These were usually made as part of a set, some actually used in themed chess sets. Most are fairly modern, some with a country of origin mark can to date no early than 1891. Without a provinance it's hard to tell you much more about this one. I'd put $20.00 on it.
