9 Piece Dining Set / Brickwede Table & Buffet w/Duncan andFife by Drexel China Cabinet

By DanielleLux, 21 September, 2015
Description

I inherited the table chairs and buffet through my maternal grandmother and the China cabinet is from my paternal great grandmother. they're from the same generation different families.

same style not sure if they actually go together  when they were first sold but they look identical with the drawer pulls and the framing on the doors.

I can track the history of the table and buffet because my grandmother is still living 86 years old. As for the China cabinet my mother may know the history but the exact date of purchase I'm unsure. they must all be from the 30s - 40s because my grandmother was given the table by her parents.

I am looking to sell them because my father has recently passed and I am inheriting his dining set

I will be sad to see them go, but I would prefer my fathers dining set.

I can afford to put one or the other sets in storage until I sell this so I'm not going to just let it go for nothing. I can store it till sold.  But I am also reasonable so I am looking for an appraisal so I know how to price it properly.

History
The table was purchased by my great-grandparents given to my maternal grandmother and grandfather then given to me. must've been purchased in 1930s ?
my grandmother is still alive I could ask. The China cabinet was my fathers side of the family my other great grandmothers. It shows some signs of use scratches and a handle is missing on one of the doors they were replaced with modern hardware. this buffet has a curved door with curved glass was used for church socials At my great grandmothers home. The China is not for sale, it was hers also. I had a furniture restorer look at the piece and he said the repairs were very small and inexpensive. for the door handles they can easily be ordered and the scratches can be fixed. Everything else has normal wear and tear and small scratches. overall condition is great. My grandmother purchased the buffet probably in 1949 to match the table that's the year my mom was born. So I'm assuming this.
