Hi i just picked up same unit.i have all docs,even factory build sheets.schematics,owners manuels.for turn table,reel2reel,radio.in 1962 the ks490u sold for 1.360$ im going to try and upload all paper work.719 217 2563.jon

My parents had this exact Grundig stereo. They bought it when my dad was stationed in Germany. I was born in 1963 and we came back to the States in '64, so they purchased it between 1960 and '64. I do not know what happened to it, though. We may have left it in Texas, Nebraska, or got rid of it when we moved to Ft. Leavenworth, KS. It was in mint condition then. They bought a smaller cabinet stereo when we were in KS. I am curious where you got this particular one. I really missed that piece of furniture. If you still have it, how much are you selling it for?
