Chest of Drawers, nightstand and mirror

By Nat, 1 February, 2016
Description

3 drawers, heavy dark wood, ornate grape/leaf carving on handles, matching mirror and nightstand with solid white/grey marble top. Belonged to Grandma... 1920's or earlier? Any idea of value? Thank you!

Re: Chest of Drawers, nightstand and mirror

This is a Walnut Victorian Rococo Revival style set, the style popular from the 1850's through 1870's. Furniture like this was popular again during the Victoriana decorating craze of the 1980's, but values and demand has declined considerably since then.  The nightstand is actaully what's called a Pier table and meant to be paired with the mirror. The Pier table and mirror would have been used in a hallway or between windows in large rooms.
