Antique Chess Table and Chairs, hand carved

Description

Chess set, hand-carved.  Believed to be German or Austrian.  I believe it was purchased in Germany in the 1940s.  I don't know how old it is.  Very heavy, good quality, see picture of chair attached.  Looking for history or information.  Anything will be helpful. Thank you.
