By [email protected], 25 July, 2016
Description

Large buffet with deep carvings and bun feet. I have never seen anything like this before. The drawers are lined with green felt. The inside of the cabinet has one shelf behind each of the doors. There are no markings or manufacturer names anywhere on this piece that I can find. I believe it is oak, but I am not sure. Dimensions are:  66 x 19.5   H 38.25 to top of back  buffet height is 36.25Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Antique Buffet

It's basically in the Jacobean Revival style, which was popular before World War Two (1939). These generally part of a complete dining room suite that would have included matching table chairs anda china cabinet. What you paid is on the low end of what one would go for at auction, I've seen comparables go for about $150.00.
