Re: Antique Hand Made Gliding Rocking Horse

Did you find out anything about your rocking/glide horse ? I found one on my uncle's property and it is almost exactly like yours ! The base, the carvings, the tail (looks like mine has some blue in it, to match the base) , the flowered painted sadde. I have just began my search to find out about it-ANY comments or suggestions would be appreciated !  Thank You , Jan

Re: Antique Hand Made Gliding Rocking Horse

The majority of these are 1980's reproductions made in indonesia. They are artificially aged to make them look old, 30 years of extra aging and natural  wear and tear since then heightens to effect.

Re: Antique Hand Made Gliding Rocking Horse

They are not a big seller these days, we'd probably put $400.00 on one and bargain from there.
