Antique Italian gold pendants with chain

By Sunshine22, 26 December, 2016
Description

This is very old from Italy and I know this is real gold.

This is Catholic jewelry and says "dio ti protegga" on the back of the Jesus pendant.

I would like to sell this but I need to figure out how many karats it is and also how much this is worth.

Please tell me any information you would like about these items.

Thank you!!

Re: Antique Italian gold pendants with chain

By international conventions item constructed using precious metals such as gold and silver will have markings to indicate the gold or silver content. If there are no markings the itm is most likely gold plated, you`ll have to get  a jeweller to test your piece for it`s gold content.

Re: Antique Italian gold pendants with chain

If the jewelry in question was made overseas, and was handed down from 1 generation to another, it may not have any markings, regarding the gold content (ie. 14,18,24k). It should have a small makers mark, if it is handmade, most fine jewelry is, that may give you a better idea of the appraisal.
