Martha Walter "Twins In Blue"

By Jayehrie, 4 January, 2015
Description

I have a piece signed by artist Martha Walter dated 1917 entitled "Twins In Blue." I was interested in obtaining more information and also would like to know how to go about authenticating this. It has a tag on the back which indicates that this particular print had been in the collection of a Margaret B. Stevenson...if that helps....I would appreciate any help you can give me with this piece....as aways, thank you very much for your time and help with this!!

Re: Martha Walter "Twins In Blue"

There is a print of this available at art.com:

The label at the bottom looks very similar to the tag you posted. (The words seem to be the same in a slightly different font.) Further, the tag looks (poorly) cut out, so I suspect this is a similar reproduction.

Do you still have this painting?  I would be interested in purchasing if you still have it.
