Description
I recently got a three drawer dresser that is labeled Architectural Modern by Morris of California. I have been trying to research this company and can find little about them. Sadly it has been painted. With the exception of a small nick of one of the drawer fronts the wood is in appears to be in great shape. It measures 36L 18W 32H. I was wondering both value and if professional stripping it would increase the value. Thanks

We just bought a dresser set (1 big low one and 1 tall one) and side table that look exactly like that with the same color in Oakland, CA. Where did you get yours??

These were often factory painted, the paint being the original finish. With mid Century modern sets it's best to leave the finish as it is for resale purposes. Quite often the wood under the paint is not going to be the best, the paint sometimes right in the grain of the wood an does not completely strip, leaving a haze that requires a lot of sanding to remove.
