Description

It is a small framed painting. Signed on the back Gerard Dou. Not sure of authenticity.  Frame has a small piece missing from upper left corner. It is approx. 5x5 in size.

Hi, I know this is a bit (over 2 years now) late, but this is 'Girl With A Lantern' by Gerard Dou, a 17th century Dutch painter. The original is in the Kuntshistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria. This looks like a middling-good quality copy, probably mid to late 19th century- Perhaps a student piece.

Since I'm interested in buying it, I'll have to decline offering an appraisal, but feel free to make me an offer.
