Description

A Chinese pictorial rug, Peking, wool on cotton foundation . Probably from around 1930.  Ink blue field depicting a tree with angular branches above a bridge and topped by a lantern. Has been in my possession for 30 years, in storage for over 15 years.  Originally was owned by the Diocese of Bridgeport, Bridgeport , Connecticut and in use in the Bishop of that diocese residence. size 46inches  x 80 inches.
