Antique Breakfront Sideboard

By koricq, 23 April, 2017
Description

This is a large antique piece from my mother. I don't know much about it but I think she had told me it's European. Just wanting to get some more information from knowledgeable people. I can't find any markings on it. There is an upper and lower cabinet and two drawers that lock. There are carvings on the front. Included pictures for detail. The drawer pulls have faces on them. Thank you!

Re: Antique Breakfront Sideboard

It does look European, but dating these pieces is promblematic without actually physically examining them, as comparable pieces remain in production in Germany, many like this were brought  back bay American troops during the occupation of Germany after World War Two. We'd retail one like it for about $1500.00, but discount it for a quick sale.
