It is a pitcher not vase, and with the high moulded relief of men dancing/playing musical instruments combined with chased grapes on handle, and grapes and foliage on body, definitely of a wine nature. I suggest it's a type of Silenus Bacchanalian jug first produced in 1830s. Silenus was a Greek god and one of the Bacchus contemporaries, Bacchus being the god of wine.
