Antique wooden/metal sled Sheboygan Coaster and Wagon Works

By mbrogan5, 11 August, 2017
Description

I have an old wooden/metal sled in good condition with a label on the back that says Sheboygan Coaster & Wagon Works. This particular sled has the name Dodger on top. I can only find info on that company from 1873-922 so I am assuming sled is around 1920. Curious what kind of value if any. In my research, I can find a lot of wagons but not much info on the companies sleds. Would love any additional info!

Thank you!

Re: Antique wooden/metal sled Sheboygan Coaster and Wagon Works

Sleds of this type were made right into the 1960's ( I had one ;) , examples like this one though tend to date from the first quarter of the 20th century. There were a decorator item back in the 1980's, demand for them now has softened a great deal, they often sell at auction for less than $100.00.
