Description
Hello, I got this chair at an auction for .50, however after looking online it may be worth more than that. I'm guessing it is an antique parlor chair? There are castor wheels on the front two wheels but not the back. I know it needs re-upholstered. Any ideas or help?? It is extremely sturdy and well built.
Re: Antique Parlor Chair
It's a mid Victorian Renaissance Revival style chair, probably made of walnut. Sadly the market for Victorian furniture is currently very weak, still your chair is worth a good deal more than what you paid. Examples like this in need of some work or reupholstery generally sell for about $50.00.
