Re: Berkey and Gay Bed Frame

The Berkey & Gay Furniture Company was incorporated in August, 1873, and was well known for its quality suites. beds like this one date from the mid 1920's through early 30's and tend mix of early American styles such as Queen Anne and William & Mary, or French styles such as French Provincial or Rococo. Values for these pieces depend a great deal on condition, as refinishing cost can exceed the value of a bed in good original condition. At auction a comparable bed could sell in the $200.00- $350.00 range.
