Antique China Hutch. Circa 1920's? I think.

By redcaliss, 2 December, 2017
Description

I know very little about this old china Hutch. Only that my parents bought it in Maine around 1972ish. It was old then so it has to be ancient now? Any information would be highly appreciated. worth? history? It's condition could best be described as rough, and needing restored. Stamped into the top portion are the numbers "18".  I am about to move and don't wish to take this with me. More concerned about it getting damaged. Would rather this beautiful piece got to someone that could restore it, and enjoy it as I have no place for it in my new home.

Re: Antique China Hutch. Circa 1920's? I think.

its a newer one with flat top and striaght legs . think your age on it might be correct about 100-200$ amazing the curved glass replacement cost almost what the item sells for now  use to sell for much more . bad housing sales years ago ruined the furniture business and all this stuff dropped like a rock.  still sell though dont have to dust your little pile of china or  whatever collectables etc..

Re: Antique China Hutch. Circa 1920's? I think.

It's late Empire Revival, most of it predates World War One, but was made into the 1920's. Demand peaked for them in the 1990's and has been in decline since then. We still get about $450.00 for one like this, but at auction they sell for far less.
