The lamp seems to be made of cherry wood, it is about 5' tall. On the bottom are two shelves (all one piece with the lamp), about 1' deep x 2' wide x2' tall. There is s sticker on the metal that says "Underwriters Labratories Inc. Listed Portable Lamp Issue No: 68,533 Knob Creek of Morganton."

Pieces like this tend to date from the second quarter of the 20th Century (1925-50). They tend to be a mix of English 18th Century Georgian styles, most are constructed of walnut or mahogany, or maple with a dark finish. No huge value though, at auction they often sell for under $100.00.
