Re: ID Hallmarks Silver Teapot Antique

The markings on this piece are not genuine hall marks, they are what's called "pseudo hall marks" They are meant to resemble genuine hallmarks used on British Sterling silver. Sterling or silver examples will be marked numerical markings such as "925" ( 925/1000ths. silver) or "800" (800/1000ths.silver) or with Hallmarks.

Silver plate is sometimes stamped with pseudo hall marks, a combination of letters that indicate what the piece really is, eg. the letters 'EPNS', stands for 'Electro plated nickel silver' . Yours appear to read "SBEP, which could stand for "Silver Britannia Electro Plate", Britannia metal being an alloy of tin and zinc that resembles pewter. Value wise, not much broken examples are hard to sell at any price.

Lovejoy

I have a Silverplated 3 arm Canselabra with same marks, not broken. Who is the maker and what Year?
Re: ID Hallmarks Silver Teapot Antique
The maker is unknown, as is the year of production. Most like this date from the first quarter of the 20th century.
