Description
I'm cleaning house and trying to decide what is worth keeping, selling or tossing of the things I've accumulated through the years. My grandmother purchased this from an antique store. I have no idea what it is or what its purpose is. It is a large fly and fairly heavy. The wings lift up to reveal a small pocket, though I have no idea what would fit in there.
Re: Fly
I believe it's a paperweight, popular in the 20's to 40's. Pocket might be for a key or possibly air freshener, scents, etc.
Re: Fly
Circa 1930 - 1950's used to hold matches and strike them off the wings ... nice piece ...
Est value $30 - $60 US ...
