Found at a garage sale looked very unique but I can’t find. Anything on it but on the stool the dog is sitting on made in Japan and that’s about it
Circa Post 1952 (prior was occupied japan re stool)
I would believe this piece to be circa 1970 - 1980;s . It looks to me like this is a corn husk doll. These minitures were very common during this period. The rug was probably crocheted by the crafter. My ex wifes Grandma use to cross over to the states around this period in time to buy stuff at Mary Maxim in Pt Huron Michigan .. from her home in Sarnia Ontario,
Other things that where used in making dolls were apple heads ....
Appeal - pet lover, antique lover, wicca themed (broom and charm hanging off frame), miniture collectors. folk art lover
Estimate Value: $25 - $40 US ... please be advised that market demand can fluctuate quickly with pieces like this.
Thanks for sharing ... interesting piece of Folk Art
PS: I would encourage you to put it behind glass to save dusting.
Peace Always
