Solid Oak Pedestal Dining Table - Circa 1890 - 1900

By gregorysprice, 24 June, 2013
Description

I have an antique Solid Oak Pedestal Dining Table.  It was my great grandmother's - circa 1890 to 1900.  It is 48" Round with Two Leafs that are 12" inches each that make it an oval - 72" .  The Round Table is in good shape but needs refinishing.  The Two Leafs are ok but need some work (one is chipped).  Thanks!

Re: Solid Oak Pedestal Dining Table - Circa 1890 - 1900

tables of this type ae Empire Revival pieces made during the turn of the 19th century through the early 1920's. They were a mass produced item and not considered rare. demand for them last peaked in the early 1990's, demand since then has been weak with many going at auction for under $150.00
