1850 Dresden Beer Stein

By Wraythe, 26 June, 2019
Description

I was given this Beer Stein as a gift from a German friend in 1981 while serving in the military in Germany. My friend indicated that it had been in his family since before the war. It appears to be handpaited as their are brush marks and it is in exceptional condition.

Re: 1850 Dresden Beer Stein

Your stein postdates 1850, the marking on it dates about 1870-1890. It's a nice piece though, but values have taken a bit of a dive for Victorian ceramics in recent years, this one might go for $150.00 to a collector.
