Chairs like this typically date from the 1890's and appear in mail order catalogs of the period , such as Montgomery- Ward and Sears- Roebuck's. They were mass produced, most in factories that centered around Grand Rapids Michigan. Values last peaked for them in the late 1980's, demand and values have declined drastically since then. Most sell now at auction for about $50.00.
