Description
Curt Teich & Co. Postcard. I did contact the Newbury Library in Chicago where the Curt Teich Archives is located, and was told this happens to be one of the early postcards produced by the company for which they did not retain a copy in their archives. They said the number on back is 238B and the production numbers prior to this one, 236B and 237B, are views of the Art Institute exterior and interior, and have the same printing information on the back as this card. Unfortunately, there is not another card like mine to compare it to. I purchased a large lot of Antique postcards that I am now trying to identify, this is one of many. The Card has been used, has a postal cancellation date of 1905.
Re: Antique Curt Teich Postcard with 1905 Postal Cancellation
I have an early card with a similar image. I will need to find it in my albums. Do you sell any of your postcards? I am a collector.:)
Re: Antique Curt Teich Postcard with 1905 Postal Cancellation
Hi,
I am not a collector, however, I have aquired a large assortment of Antique postcards. Many are used with cancelled stamp and date. Most are late 1800's early 1900's. I put them in protective postcard sleeves in boxes and sort of forgot about them untill this message. I would be willing to sell them, however, would need to do some research to know how to value them.
