Antique sterling silver cup. Engraved Mrs. Phebe Palmer June 10th 1847 From Mrs. Malinda Hamline. Phoebe Palmer 1807-1874 was a Methodist evangelist and writer who promoted the doctrine of Christian perfection. She is considered one of the founders of Holiness Movement within Methodist Christianity. Melinda Hamline 1801-1881 was the wife of Methodist Bishop Leonidas Hamline. She organized the Evanston Missionary Union which later merged with the United Church Women. A Collectable Item!

It's actually a Piece of English Georgian silver and predates the inscription, the marking is pretty worn but looks like the date letter for 1813.
