Rockford Republic Furniture Hutch

Description

This hutch appears to have been made for plates as there are grooves for plates on the back of the shelves. At one point it looks like this hutch would have had sliding glass doors, which are no longer there. Hutch is in very good condition and very heavy.

Rockford Republic Furniture Company was based out of Rockford, Illinois. According to Illinois Corporate records, Rockford Republic Furniture Company was incorporated in 1933 . the company was formerly known as York Manufacturing Company. They closed business in 1988, pieces with this type of finish tend to date from the mid to late 1980's. Demand for furniture of this type and vintage tends to sell at auction for under $75.00.
