Mitterteich Bavaria china "Springtime"

By Montessori55, 22 February, 2021
Description

Used china set 12 dinner plates (05) slight scratches from knife use, 12 salad plates 05 one of them chip on very bottom (out of sight) 12- 61/2" Bread & butter plates, 12 tea cups, one cup has small chip underneath (out of sight) 11 saucers for cups. 11 coupe soup bowls(018),1 gravy boat attached (018) Small oval 12" serving platter(095) and 1 large 16" oval serving platter(059),1 Large 9" Vegetable dish(095) and 1 Large 9" vegetable bowl with lid (059). Tea pot with 12 cups - one of the cups has a hidden chip on bottom. 1 creamer and one sugar with lid. This set was my mother's. She gave to me when I got married. Sentimental but time to let go. Most pieces are in great shape! Only the dinner plates look a little used and the chips i mentioned are not in noticeable places. Since a couple pieces are missing I was wondering if it would be better to sell as a 10 piece set???

Re: Mitterteich Bavaria china "Springtime"

Sadly the market for Dinnerware of this type and vintage has collapsed in recent years. At auction it is now not uncommon to see comparable sets selling for under $250.00. Best value is attained by selling desirable serving pieces as individual items.
