Davis Cabinet Company 9 Drawer Dresser (Antique Brune, 1967)

By pbond, 22 March, 2021
Description

I bought this piece about 10 years ago not knowing it is a Davis Cabinet Co. dresser until now. I have no idea what it would be worth. It is 71.5" long x 20.25" wide x 32.25 tall. It has 6 larger drawers and 3 smaller drawers behind a cabinet door. Good shape, no major damage. It is a very solid piece and is quite heavy. Photos show the Davis Cabinet Co. fabric label on the inside of one drawer and the ink stamp on the back.

Re: Davis Cabinet Company 9 Drawer Dresser (Antique Brune, 1967)

This site might have some useful information http://daviscabinetcompany.com/faq.aspx
Looking at eBay they don’t have yours but similar dressers are selling in the high $900’s. When I did a sold search that one sold for less than the $900 asking price. My guess is what would be popular now would be a more modern looking mid century modern or maybe the older pieces.
Here’s one from the 70’s, not the same but a similar style https://www.chairish.com/product/1465927/davis-cabinet-company-triple-f…

Values for furniture like this tends to be modest in the general market, you can pay much higher prices at boutique type websites that specialize or less than $250.00 at auction, $150.00 at a charity shop.
