Antique dresser with top lid makeup/ jewelry box

By Dleigh, 20 June, 2021
Description

I don't know much about this. There are no markings or stamps anywhere on this item. It is very detailed and made of different woods. The dresser has only a clear satin clear coat on it. No other stains or paints. I got this at a goodwill in northeast Ohio and brought it home. I tediously worked on this item and got it the best I could before clearing it. It turned out absolutely beautiful in my opinion. But I know nothing other than I spent alot of man-hours working on this item. Please help me identify the origin, time-frame and value of my item

Re: Antique dresser with top lid makeup/ jewelry box

It dates from the 1930's, like most furniture made at this time, a mix of styles with Art Deco, the predominant style of the 1920's through late 1930's. No huge demand for pieces like this these days, the market being a bit flat, the market flooded as the Baby Boom generation downsizes into retirement.
