Raffaelo Monti The Veiled Lady

By afountain26, 16 February, 2010
Description

Bought from the Crystal palace. The Crystal palace burned down on November 30 1936. I believe they sold most of the remaining peices in the meseum, and my grandfather bought this. As far as I have learned there are 2 or 3 others like this that he made, one is at the walker museum, Minneapolis MN.

Re: Raffaelo Monti The Veiled Lady

I am certainly no expert, but from what I understand the Minneapolis Institute has the original, so this is likely a copy? If it is the original I'm sure I can't afford it if it's in a museum! How does 500 USD plus shipping expenses sound? Do you have any more photos of other angles or closeups to show the texture? I hope we can work this out, I think it's a very lovely piece!
