Dark Blue Wedgewood Jasperware

Description

Here I have a dark blue Wedgewood Jasperware urn. The signature/stamp on the bottom reads Wedgewood England. I’m not sure if I’m reading the date stamp correctly but I believe it is Y B V. From my research I think it dates between 1891-1908. Can someone please help me confirm the date of this piece? Also the value, if any, as well? It would be much appreciated. Thank you

It dates 1896. Sadly the market for Victorian Jasper dip pottery dried up back in the late 1980's and as yet has not recovered, currently at auction a comparable piece would go for about $150.00- $200.00.

Thank you for your feedback. I think the piece is pretty cool. Now that I know it’s over 100 years old makes it better. If I wasn’t so attached to it, I’d take $200 for it. It was given to me from a lady that came into our shop one day.
