Jacobean Style Chairs

Today these chairs are referred to as being in the Jacobean or Elizabethan Revival style, the style getting it's name from the fact these pieces use stylistic motifs from early English pieces made during the late 16th to mid 17th Century.

Most of these pieces were produced in England from the1890's through the first quarter of the 20th Century, but remained in production until World War Two. Generally they were part of a matching set, comprising of a court cupboard, table, and chairs. They currently sell for at auction in the $150.00-$200.00 range.
