Are there any marks for…
Are there any marks for purity (e.g. "14k"...) or a makers mark? If it's American, you can narrow down the age by how far the pin point sticks out beyond the clasp. If it sticks out a lot is probably pre-mid 20th century. Say, older than 1970.Also the type of clasp will help. If you look closely you might be able to tell if the jewel is rhinestone by seeing if there is foil on the back. However when I look at it there appears to be glue which most likely means it's not any kind of genuine gemstone or even a high end costume piece. I have a pretty substantial collection of vintage costume jewelry and have been looking at this stuff for a while now. Best of luck with your search.
