As a general rule anything…

As a general rule anything made of gold or silver in most of the world will be marked in some way to indicate the precious metal content, in the form of a number or a symbol/hall marking. This piece does not appear to have any of those markings and will have to be tested by a jeweler to determine what it is actually made of. Unmarked examples tend to be plated.
