WWII Japanese Flag, 158th Infantry Regiment "Bushmasters"

By nathaliewhite3, 3 February, 2019
Description

I found this framed flag at my father's house. He doesn't remember when or where he purchased it, but it has been professionally framed and is in good condition.

The flag appears to record the places and dates the "Bushmasters" 158th Infantry Regiment went during their WWII deployment.

Re: WWII Japanese Flag, 158th Infantry Regiment "Bushmasters"

Wow, saw this and had to email you.  I'm on the Board of Directors for the Fort Tuthill Military Museum, the official Regimental Museum of the 158th Infantry Regiment "Bushmasters" as well as their former Command Sergeant Major.  Would you be interested in displaying the flag at our museum for the summer?  We're connected with the Arizona Historical Society and this artifact would be strictly on loan to the museum for a designated period of time, hopefully through the summer for all to see.  We're only open from Armed Forces Day to the end of October we would return it to you upon request.  We are fully insured and bonded and would be honored to display the flag for all to see for as long as you would allow.  Please visit our website to see the museum at www.forttufill.org  Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.
