Antique Wash Basin

Profile picture for user oracvlvm

Description

Antique Edwardian or Victorian cast iron wash stand with custom blue floral decorated porcelain sink. The porcelain sink is approximately 27 3/4" wide by 20" deep, the backsplash is approximately 30" at its widest point and the entire structure is 51 1/2" tall at its highest point. There are inlaid blue and white tiles to match the color scheme of the sink. Includes separate faucets and drain sieve. Missing chain and plug. The discoloration around the drain is not surface damage. One small chip on the left side rim and tiny indentations/chips around the cold faucet, shown. This sink and stand were installed at their current location in 1976 and are being removed for remodelling. Buyer may arrange for removal if desired.
Delivery to lower 48 states only when seller is responsible for shipping; buyer may personally pick up items at no charge; all other delivery options are negotiable. All offers will be carefully considered.

Wash basin

How charming! I'm looking forward to see what others think. I wish I had a need for this! I wonder if there was a matching commode (what we Southerners call a toilet)? I've seen those before but never a sink and accoutrements.
Though I'm mad for antique plumbing, I have nary a clue as to its value. Good luck (though you don't need luck, it's a winner)!

yes, there was a toilet, but…

yes, there was a toilet, but the previous owner threw the wooden tank in the back yard where it has degraded and did who knows what with the ceramic part (im still searching and hoping to find it somewhere on the property)

I hope you find it! I found…

I hope you find it!
I found this website in the UK that makes reproductions of antique toilets, one of them on the page is likely what yours looked like:
