You don't state whether there are any hallmarks on your carafe. They may be visible by using a magnifying glass. They should be on the metal parts. Look carefully, sometimes they're hard to find. If there are hallmarks we'd need to see those to give you any information. Big difference in value if the metal is sterling silver or just plated. Thanks!

There are no markings but I found the exact piece online with same no markings appraised at $1500 but offering $489.00 for it.

as Silentgal has suggested, have a close look for any markings, numbers lke "925" or the word "Sterling"

I can't make out the marking from the image. in such cases the only way to know for sure is to have it tested by a Jeweller.
