Description

Bought this lamp at an estate sale. Very heavy metal base. There is numbering etched in the metal bottom but can't make it out. Looks like it might contain 410. The label says L&B lamp co inc. 2550 Wabash Ave. Chicago illinois.

Lamps like this were designed to resemble Victorian oil lamps, but tend to date from the second quarter of the 20th century. They became popular again during the Victorian decorating craze of the 1980's, but since then demand has dropped drastically, comparable lamps now sell at Goodwill shops for under $50.00.
