Limoges Vase

Description

Just looking for more information on this vase. I don't see transfer halftone. I do see brush strokes with my loupe (I even see a finger print :) ) I am thrown off because it has no makers marks or signatures on the bottom only "France". Any info would be great, time period. Is it Limoges. Is it fake? Maybe a guess at a maker. I'm really looking to learn. Thanks so much for your time.

It's what's referred to as…

It's what's referred to as white wear meaning it was originally sold as an undecorated blank by a larger manufacturer often these were seconds that were offered to smaller decorating Outlets who would repaint these and resell them on. Quite a few of these are actually painted by Hobbiest's who took courses and decorating Studios during the late 19th century through the 1920s. Most of the white wear was made in France in and around the Limoge and also by Meissen in Germany. Values depend a great deal on the level of the decoration values last were peaking for this type of porcelain in the 1980s, since then prices declined a great deal and we would probably put 50 to $80 on this piece
