Description

This dressing table is part of a 5 piece set consisting of a tall dresser, low dresser with mirror, double bed frame with foot and head board, and a velvet bench. Purchased in Canada in the 1930's.

This set is typical of pieces made all over North America during the 1920s through early thirties when the Great Depression forced many companies into bankruptcy. Values last peaked for furniture of this type during the late '80s to early 1990s and since declined a great deal. Currently whole bedroom sets like this might go for $350 at auction.
