Description My 94 yr-old mother has this painting… It was in a house in Elyria, OH when my parents bought it in 1947. It hung there several years until they moved to TN in ‘65. It has since remained in a closet until we decided to see if it has any value. The signature in the corner is Hobbs, which looks like it possibly matches the artist George Thompson Hobbs, but there’s only a last name written. We know nothing about art, its origin or value, but do want an appraisal. The picture itself measures 36” long by 12” high. The picture has some damage on the edges, looks like it has been rmoved from the frame at some time, then put back, 2 small tears along the edge are visible. Any advice or direction provided will be welcome. We are in Pikeville, TN.
