Three piece silver tea set circa 1900.
Plate has been in my posession for over 28 years.Ā Have taken it to get it valued, but they would not make any comment on it.
The 3 mark on top are, i have been told, where the plates are stacked in the oven / kiln.Ā Apparantely it is quite rare to see these.Ā Highlighted in 1 of the photos.
piece of string goes throught the bottom of the plate.Ā only marking on bottom is either GW4 S or GWLT S, its hard to make out.
Ā I'm trying to find more about it and find a valued for it
Ā Any help would be greatly appreciated
It was purchased by my fiancee's father on the late 30' early 40' from an English woman that lives upstair on his father's home. My fiancee inherit the chair, but don't know much about it just that was bought from a tenantĀ by his father. Ā The original leather on the chair was all dried out, so he had it re-upolsterd. I think the chair is just beutiful but we don't know much about it.Ā Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I bought this very pretty and ornate setĀ at a tag sale here in Chicopee, MA. It was madeĀ by the Ames Mfg. Company, which was located here in town, and is most notable for their civil war swords, which are very collectible today.Ā (The buildings are still here, by the way, and are being converted to retail/condoĀ space.)Ā I have been unable to find outĀ much about their silver/silverplate, however, Ā and would like to know what this set could be worth. I think it is a presentation set - the medallions are engraved "G....(something, can't make it out)...Morrison". It is in beautiful condition, with the exception of a missing lid on the...sugar bowl? Anything you can tell me about this would be greatly appreciated! Also, should I polish it? Thanks so much for any information you can provide.
Happy New Year!
Hi I googled appraisers and found your information. I have a pair of old oil paintings that hung in my greatgrandmother's home in savannah GA. I have no clue how or when she got them. They currently hang in my dining room. I've always been curious if they were valuable or not. I will get some other pictures of them to you if you are interested. I may be interested in selling.
Also I also have 2 pictures of my great great greats. (born in early 1800's)
I hear sometimes the frames can be more valuable than the pictures. Just thought I'd add those on as well. Thank you for your time.
