History
I found this at a neighbor house and brought it for $200.00. It had been in her family for years and years. There is a number on it 85111 and on the front it is wrote , The York Weaver organ and Piano co.
Your piano is worth about what you paid for it. Pianos more than 50 years old are generally in need of a complete internal rebuild, even if they have been regularly tuned. The cost of refurbushing them is prohibitive, and unless the piano is by a big name maker such as Steinway, the cost will exceed the value of a comparable restored example.
I also have a weaver organ that has been completely refurbished and still plays.. It has the same markings on the front without the 85111. I do know the company sold out in 1917 and went into business in 1870, so it is at least 92 years old.. Any idea what one that is refurbished might be valued at??
