Profile picture for user CaffeneJolt

Description

This is a complete set of antique collectible china from Vernon Kilns. Total of 56 pieces. Complete settings for 8. The set includes:

(8) 6 ÂĽ " plates (8) cups and (8) saucers

(8) 7 ½" plates (8) 10" plates . . . plus other pieces to complete this set.

I found some history of Vernon Kilns, or Vernonware Collectibles on the internet: ie. Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Kilns) , ebay, etc. . .

The pieces in the set are trimmed with 18k gold.  It bears the Vernonware stamp of Mission Bells, which is the company's 6th mark. It's estimated to be from the 1930's.

History
This set was purchased by my family from an elderly lady in the mid 70's from northern California. We've had it in our possession for about 37 years and have never used it. Although I have not inspected every single piece very closely, they all appear to be in excellent condition with no breaks, crack or chips. Only a couple of pieces show slight wear at the bottom, and not utensil marks.
